seniors and preschool
Preschool and the senior program are for children ages 4 to 5 years. A major focus of our senior program is kindergarden readiness; fine motor skills, social interaction, attentive listening, and color/shape/number/letter identification and use are all stressed. Children will begin writing as well as learning important facts about themselves such as the spelling of names and addresses, phone numbers, etc. New subjects are explored each week along thematic units; the senior room is handled much like a kindergarden classroom, to make the transition into the kindergarten year as smooth as possible for each child.
